Frequently Asked Questions|Man Cleaning

Man Cleaning FAQ: how pricing works, job duration, supplies included, carpet process, post-reno checklist, pest safety, booking lead time, service areas. WhatsApp +852 6298 4284.

How is pricing calculated? Is there a fixed price list?+
We quote case by case. Publishing one flat website price would mislead when flat size, soil level, and building access vary widely. Quotes usually consider: property type, usable area or room count, depth (routine vs deep clean), whether it is post-renovation / carpet / pest work, district and access, and after-hours needs. After you WhatsApp photos, we give an initial direction; if the site differs a lot from photos, we clarify scope before starting.
What should I send on WhatsApp for a quote?+
Send in one go when you can: 1. Property type (home / office / shop / village house, etc.) 2. Usable sq ft or room count 3. District + estate/building name 4. Preferred date or time window 5. Service type 6. A few current photos 7. Special notes (partial rooms only, pets/kids, preferred products, management booking) WhatsApp: https://wa.me/85262984284 · Tel +852 6298 4284
Are cleaning supplies included?+
For typical home, office, and post-renovation jobs we bring common tools and detergents (confirm at booking). If the building requires specific brands, or you have sensitivities / prefer your own products, tell us on WhatsApp first. Carpet and pest methods/equipment are scoped in the quote—nothing extra is assumed “all included”.
How long does a job take?+
It depends on scope. A small flat routine clean is usually shorter; a three-bedroom deep clean or heavy post-reno dust job takes longer; offices scale with area and washrooms; carpets by size and stains; pest by unit and treatment plan. Ask for an expected window when quoting so you can stay on site or arrange keys.
How far ahead should I book?+
Book early on WhatsApp—weekends, pre-holiday, and handover peaks fill up. If you have a hard deadline (move-in, vacant possession, opening), say the date upfront. Same-day or next-day may be possible depending on manpower and district—not guaranteed.
Does the owner need to be present?+
Depends on access rules and your preference. Homes can use on-site presence, key handover, or an authorised person. Offices/estates often need registration or a temporary pass. Pest or carpet jobs may need handover notes (ventilate, drying time). If you cannot stay, tell us handover and check-out preferences early.
Can office cleaning be done after hours?+
Yes—many offices prefer evenings, early mornings, or weekends. Share allowed hours, building access rules, security sign-in, and which zones to clean. After-hours slots are popular; book ahead.
How should I prepare the site?+
- Put away valuables, cash, and important documents - Clear walkways where possible - Keep pets in a safe area; keep children away from wet floors and chemicals - Confirm visitor registration, parking, and service lift rules - Post-reno: bulky construction waste should usually be removed by the fit-out team first - Pest: follow prep notes (food put away, cover aquariums/pet items as advised)
Will there be leftover dampness or smell?+
We pack out tools and rubbish and aim for wiped/dried floors. Some deep cleans or carpet jobs still need natural drying; mild residual scent often fades with ventilation. After carpet cleaning, wait until dry before heavy foot traffic or replacing furniture. Mention strong scent sensitivity when booking.
Home cleaning vs post-renovation cleaning?+
Home cleaning focuses on routine or periodic deep cleaning. Post-renovation targets dust, tape residue, paint spots, track grit, and handover leftovers—usually heavier and longer. After fit-out or major renovation, choose the post-renovation service, not a short “hourly” tidy. See Home cleaning and Post-renovation.
What does a post-renovation clean usually cover?+
Typical directions: vacuuming and mopping, skirting/switch panels, cabinets and counters, bathrooms, window frames/tracks, surface dust on AC outlets (not full AC strip-down), adhesive residue, visible drain surfaces. Exact checklist is confirmed in the quote; high ceilings, external walls, in-unit AC deep wash, and bulk waste haul-away are not automatically included. Guide: post-renovation checklist.
How does carpet cleaning work? How long to dry?+
Typical flow: assess fibre and stains → dry soil removal → suitable cleaning method → spot treatment → extract/accelerate drying → advise before replacing furniture. Drying time depends on weather, ventilation, pile thickness, and method—humid HK days take longer. See Carpet cleaning.
Is pest control safe for kids and pets?+
Safety depends on pest type, method, and following prep/aftercare (ventilate, keep kids/pets off treated zones, move pet bowls as advised). Tell us about infants, pregnancy, pets, aquariums, or severe sensitivities. Pest work is not a permanent “zero pest forever” guarantee—hygiene and prevention matter. See Pest control.
Which areas do you cover?+
Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, and the New Territories—on-site across HK. Remote access, no lift, strict management rules, or parking limits can affect scheduling. Name the district and building when enquiring.
Estate / commercial building access and rubbish?+
Many buildings require visitor passes, timed goods lifts, rubbish-room rules, and quiet hours. Ask management whether cleaning/pest work is allowed and where waste should go. If a pass was not arranged and we cannot enter, rescheduling may be needed. Article: estate access tips.
Can I book only part of the flat or office?+
Yes—list the exact rooms/zones so quote and handover match expectations. ---
